I’m Emily, a historian, educator, and wanderer through the long roads of the past. My work lives somewhere between the archive and the hills of Middle Earth — exploring history through stories of entrepreneurship, culture, faith, memory and the (extra)ordinary people who quietly shaped their worlds. With experience teaching history at both the secondary and collegiate levels, I’m passionate about making the past feel alive, approachable and richly human. Whether tracing the rise of a family flower shop, the diplomacy of the Cold War, or the hidden histories tucked into forgotten places, I believe history is less a collection of dates and more a great conversation carried across generations.
